The Trojan Marching Band with Fleetwood Mac on "The Dance"

I had the honor to share the stage with Fleetwood Mac when the Trojan Marching Band was invited to peform "Tusk" and "Don't Stop" as encores for the taping of "The Dance" back in 1997. Needless to say, those three days were some of the best of my life. (By the way, I play the trumpet, and I am on the back row, third from the far right.)

Getting to meet band members was great: at the end of the first day of rehersals, the fab five (minus Stevie) watched us as we serenaded them with the Trojan Marching Band version of "Tusk." It was generally a great moment.

When the album was released in August 1997, we were amidst band camp. It was and exciting time for us and now the TMB is the only marching band in the universe that has TWO multi-platnum albums.

Following the release of "The Dance" the TMB was invited to make numerous appearances with the Mac. One of these included a KCET telethon, which Mick Fleetwood was sponsering on behalf of FM. The other occured in the fall of 1998, when Mick Fleetwood joined us on the Colliseum field to play "Tusk" with us and present us with our platnum album!
